Episode 3 is FINALLY LIVE! Thank you for being patient and bearing with me! I've had life just happen, but I read something somewhere and I agree: The Lightingale Podcast/blog will always be here, but my family comes first - that's my first ministry!
We ALSO just had our daughter, Olivia on February 1st and we are still SO in love! We are enjoying her every day. She is a sweetie and I am looking forward to being her mom.
If you are wondering about the picture, it is the visual interpretation of Proverbs 11:22 (amplified version):
"As a ring of gold in a swine's snout, so is a beautiful woman who lacks discretion [her lack of character mocks her beauty.]"
And it's this scripture that inspired the podcast this month. Not only did this verse inspire the podcast, but the Lord convicted me about this very thing in certain areas of my life. It's so easy to be pretty on the outside and let the inside suffer and remain untouched by the spirit of God. It's easier to post a selfie, glammed up and made-up to perfection than it is to sit at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to transform our nasty hearts. There are probably more tutorials on how to apply makeup than there are videos of women who have allowed Jesus to replace their hearts of stone with hearts of flesh. I get it. There are times when outwardly I might look good, but on the inside, there are busted up parts of my heart that have to constantly be yielded over to the power of the Holy Spirit. It's a work in progress for us all.
A character filled, beautiful woman on the inside and on the outside is a force to be reckoned with. Single or married! This woman is not perfect, but when she decides to yield herself to Jesus, she is powerful and unstoppable in the hands of God.
In this month's podcast, will look at a few imperfect women in the Word who chose to be courageous and step up in living their lives full of character, wisdom, and discretion in the Lord.
It is split it up into 3 parts! Praying that it's a bit easier to listen to and digest.
